| For those who still haven't heard, lol
There is a way to tell which is a chest and which is a mimic without hitting anything or using a pet. I found this out, announced it on guild chat a few times, nobody said anything. I assumed everyone already knew. I've since spoken to a few people who didn't know about it, so I've decided to make it a post so that ya'll have no excuse not to know : P
Right click on a chest. If the cursor stays a clenched fist, it is a mimic. If the cursor changes to drag and move the viewpoint, you've found the chest! Simple, and saves a lot of time if you're rushing a dungeon.
One thing to note, if you're standing outside the doorway of a room and trying to find the chest, both chests against the same wall as you will show the "I'm a chest" cursor. Be careful.

| don't forget the ever trustworthy windmill check
It takes longer, but if you charge windmill and then hold the cursor over the chest the icon will be a fist if its a mimic and a no rotate cursor if its a actual chest

| I'm sure everyone knows, but I'll add this too.
You can click all the mimics while on your horse and they wont open, only the chest will open.
However! Do not get off of your horse after this in the same room with the mimics! Or do get off of your horse, it'll be funneh.

| I didn't know the Oreo mimic technique, but the rest I knew....interesting, I actually learned something, lol.
I kinda just use the horse version now though...because it's fast...>>;
